Restorative Retreat for Therapists
Therapists carry the emotional weight of many; we created this retreat to create a space for us to come together and process our own experiences and manage the unique demands of this work.
March 13-15, 2026
Join us for a weekend of community, growth, and restoration with opportunity to earn up to 10 live hours of Continuing Education Units!
Led by Kristin Condie, LCSW-R, and Mia Cicoria-Timm, MSW Intern, this retreat offers a nurturing, restorative space designed to support therapists' well-being. Through guided reflections, journaling, yoga, and nature hikes, participants will have the opportunity to reconnect with themselves and their purpose. Therapists can earn CEUs* focused on self-care, mindfulness, and navigating the complexities of transference and countertransference. Together, we will explore strategies to cultivate work–life balance and foster a deep sense of inner peace. *CEUs will have an additional cost of $10 per unit to be paid the weekend of the retreat. Registration closes on February 13th, 2026

Mindful Walking for Wellness Hike
The Wellness Hike will emphasize presence through nature-based mindfulness. This guided walk in the woods will encourage exercises such as breathing awareness, sensory grounding, slowing the pace of one’s attention, and creating intentional present-moment reflection. The goal of this activity is to help with emotional regulation and resilience. Participants will learn to apply these techniques in their professional practice to support client wellness and to sustain their own well-being.
This activity has been approved by Binghamton University for 1 Social Work CE Contact Hour. This will be led by Kristin Condie, LCSW-R.
Understanding and Working with Transference and Countertransference in Clinical Practice.
This workshop provides an in-depth overview of transference and countertransference, two central relational constructs in clinical social work. Participants will examine how past experiences, unconscious emotional patterns, and relational expectations shape clients’ perceptions of the therapist (transference) and the therapist’s internal responses to the client (countertransference).
The session emphasizes practical strategies for recognizing these dynamics in real time, maintaining therapeutic boundaries, utilizing reflective practice, and transforming these interactions into clinically useful material.
Through case examples, guided reflection, experiential exercises, and structured discussion, the workshop prepares clinicians to ethically and effectively integrate awareness of transference and countertransference into treatment planning, rapport building, and therapeutic decision-making.
This has been approved by Binghamton University for 2 Social Work CE Contact Hours. This will be led by Kristin Condie, LCSW-R.
Community Circles.
Three sessions will be offered.
The first session focuses on foundational restorative justice principles, preparing groups to engage in deeper collective work, share openly, and navigate future challenges throughout the retreat weekend.
The second session uses experiential and participatory teaching methods, emphasizing learning through practice. The facilitator models restorative practices, demonstrating how they can be applied in community or organizational settings, while participants learn through observation, reflection, and active participation.
The third session involves honoring each member’s growth and learning to integrate the learned techniques into practice moving forward.
This will be led by Kristin Condie, LCSW-R.
This activity has been approved for 5 Social Work CE Contact Hours and led by Kristin Condie, LCSW-R.
Yoga
There will also be a yoga session taught by Kris Marks, LCSW-R. She will combine education on the practice with time for movement. The primary purpose of this training is to provide social workers with the opportunity to experience Qigong and Yoga as mind/body practices for use as adjunctive interventions within their practice. Additional content will include a focus on ethics, accessibility, clinical benefits, contraindications, and trauma-informed aspects of integrating these modalities into their social work practice.
(We are hoping to get this approved for 2 CE Social Work Contact Hours)
