Therapeutic Grief Group for Adolescents Who Have Lost A Loved One To Substance Use-Related Issues
In collaboration with Truth Pharm of Binghamton, we are proud to pilot our first Therapeutic Grief Group targeting adolescents in our community. This group seeks to offer mutual aid, therapeutic support, and psychoeducation to adolescents who have faced loss related to substance use. Every year, substance use impacts individuals, families, and communities in profound ways. Truth Pharm has historically worked diligently to provide aid to the local community and to advocate at the larger system level to draw attention to the issue. Children and Family Counseling Services, led by Kristin Condie, LCSW, and a team of clinicians, has dedicated itself to meeting community needs through therapeutic services. Together, through this project, we hope to support our adolescents in an area where support may not otherwise exist.
